Marathon Doron: uTest’s CEO a Running Fool
It’s time once again for a quick post that has nothing to do with software testing, crowdsourcing or agile development (although there are several sprints involved). That’s right, today is Marathon Monday here in Boston, and among the thousands of competitors vying for first place is our fearless leader Doron Reuveni.
If you recall, Doron finished with a pace of 7:21/mile in last year’s competition – an extremely impressive accomplishment (you know, for a CEO). Seriously though, Doron’s been training hard all year for this event and we’re all rooting for him to beat his previous record.
He’s also been known to Tweet mid-race, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on his Twitter handle for real-time updates. If you want to keep track of him yourself, so can do so at the Boston Marathon’s official site. It beats trying to keep pace with him for 26.2 miles.
In the meantime, I’m taking the elevator down to the first floor, driving across the street and grabbing a KFC double down for 2nd breakfast. Gotta get in shape for next year’s race, you know.
Enjoy the race everyone!
Update (11:30 am) – Doron is running at a pace of 7:15, with a projected time of 3:09:57. So far, so good!
Update (12:30 pm) – At the 30k mark, Doron is at a pace of 7:14, with a total time of 2:14:24.
Update (2:30 pm) – Amazing! Doron finished the race with a total time of 3:09:16 for a pace of 7:13 (that’s about 3 minutes better than last year’s race).
Congratulations…now get back to work
